Deadmau5 has recently launched a self-titled app for iOS that serves as a digital destination offering “premium content and intimate experiences”—think new Deadmau5 music, live streaming, photos, private messages and discussion boards—a virtual club where Deadmau5 fans can converge and interact with their favorite EDM artist on a new level.
The subscription service is intriguing, and a smart move, as it opens a new revenue stream that can be controlled and owned by artists while providing a method for musicians to develop a deeper connection with fans.
The app is currently free with the subscription running $4.99/month or $44.99/year. More details from iTunes here.
