SphereTones is a “visual instrument” for Android that rethinks how people engage in music creation with mobile devices. Utilizing a simple interface, SphereTones allows users to create patterns of sounds by adjusting a series of circles, touching and dragging to create differences in pitch and tempo.
From the creator’s website: “The base element is the Sound-Sphere. Imagine a planet, where the ball you drop, will always be bouncing, creating a perpetual-motion machine. The height of the drop controls the time between bounces, hence the rhythm.”
The app was developed by Bence Samu at Binuara.
