After my discovery of the forthcoming OUYA game system and Beck’s involvement with Sound Shapes, the integration of music with indie gaming is definitely on my radar. Over the weekend, I came across Symphony—a new PC game that combines your personal music collection with an updated version of classic arcade shooters. The music/gaming integration seems to be well thought out as Symphony really reacts to the music on your hard drive, using it to create game levels and upgrades, and allowing it to dictate the movements of your enemies.
