AG Rojas is a 24 year-old director who you may already know from his ipecac-inspired “Earl” video (watch here in the safety of your home). AG’s latest music video is for Jack White’s “Sixteen Saltines” and it features some hallmarks of Rojas’ gritty, unfiltered storytelling—youthful abandon, teenage angst and super-tight editing—the type of filmmaking that makes music videos worth watching again.
Above (top) is Jack White’s newest video for “Sixteen Saltines”, and below that, stills from the Rojas-helmed Spiritualized video, “Hey Jane” and Earl Sweatshirt’s “Earl”. I highly recommend you watch them all. Now.
