I was recently introduced to an experimental Russian electronic act through their mysterious representative, “Nikita,” who led me to the alternative aural wonderland known as Fear Konstruktor. Mixing a variety of industrial sounds with rickety drones and audio samples captured from nature, Fear Konstruktor generate music for another dimension. It’s fitting then, that this musician/composer has designed packaging that matches their truly avant-garde sound. Above (top) is the album art and packaging for FK’s 2012 release, Gitche Manito, which features a folder made from plywood and a laser-cut logo. Previous releases come in many interesting forms and shapes, so be sure to review Fear Konstruktor’s discography for inspiration from time to time.
