Auris Apothecary was selected as part of the 2011 Rökbrand Report, which you can view in its entirety here. Below is the original post I wrote about the label’s unique take on album packaging:
I believe my view of music packaging has forever been altered by the experimental label, Auris Apothecary, who have gone WAY out of their way to rethink how an album should be experienced and presented. Their offerings include cassettes wrapped in melted vinyl, CDRs coated in herbs, and 8-tracks. Yeah, man, 8-tracks! They’ve even gone as far as bringing VHS back as a format. If you’ve already exchanged your boombox for an iPod, you can still own a piece of Auris’ unique world – they’ve forgone the traditional indie label merch by offering a line of seasonal Auris Apothecary candles.
