Obsessed with Sound website

Amsterdam’s Tribal DDB and electronics manufacturer Philips have created a very intriguing website called Obsessed with Sound that allows visitors to interact with members of Amsterdam’s Metropole Orchestra. Each musician can be singled out and highlighted during the orchestra’s performance, allowing you to isolate their instrument and learn more about their personal history. The site is very intuitive and easy to control – it takes only a click to isolate the elements you want, and the information graphics presented are simple and clean. While I’m not a huge classical music fan, the design and functionality of this site has me returning again and again – the amount of information available is fascinating. It would be great to see this technology applied to a big multi-act show like Lollapalooza. Oh Perry . . .
