Noah Wall releases new album via scavenger hunt

Musician Noah Wall has gone very analog with the release his latest electronic album. Last week, Mr. Wall launched “38 Figures in Hiding,” a scavenger hunt that required fans to find hidden copies of his latest album, Héloïse, throughout Manhattan. As you can see above, the releases were carefully placed into positions that, when connected on Google maps, spelled out the name of the album. The concept behind this very DIY “distribution” method is brilliant, as it engages fans and serves as a very lo-fi guerilla marketing tactic.
As you’ve probably surmised from other RB posts, it’s not just enough to release an album these days – you must interact with your fans in new and refreshing ways in order stand out. In this regard, “38 Figures” is a massive success. More details from Wired.com.
